P3: MEIFOD: POPULAR RESISTANCE AGAINST WINDMILLS, HUBS AND PYLONS IN POWYS AN ANCIENT GWLEDYDD CYMRU.

IN POWYS THERE IS TAKINNG PLACE A DESECRATION OF OUR HERITAGE IN THE LANDSCAPE, THIS IS A MASSIVE MISCHIEF BY THE LONDON GOVERNMENT WITH COLLABORATION OF WAG AND CRACHACH CONNIVANCE WHICH IS WHY PLAID CYMRU SITS ON THE FENCE AND OFFERS UP LITTLE BUT PITHY MUTED MEANINGLESS SOUND BITES!

Given the growing resistance to 'Turbine Terrorism' throughout the land, Plaid Cymru will be remembered as "selling out" and will Loose a lot of votes in any forthcoming elections. In Terms of Heritage in the Landscape, here are a few examples as to what is at stake. A land with a long history of resistance to conquest and colonisation, as well the land of Ann Griffiths a great Welsh hymn writer. For further information on which, see Hwb Hanes Cymru via link below:

Meifod - old photos, maps, local books, memories of Meifod Powys.

  1. Meifod was scene of a major Anti - Tithe Riot in June of1887, despite Riot Act being read up to 50 farmers and 34 Police were injured. Indeed much of the area was prone to popular disturbences as example, the road between Newton and Welshpool betwen 1819 - 1839 witnessed communities on either side of the road at least on a dozen occaisions when local Yoemanry and as well troops from Brecon, Abrystwyth and Shrewsbury were called out to quell 'Popular Disturbences'. Ref see article titled: 'The Bloodless Wars of Montgomeryshire': Law and Disorder, 1837 - 1847. by Edward Parry in the Montgomeryshire Collection no 97. For further information read Before Rebecca by David Jones, little wonder is it that Meifod today is in such a 'Disturbed State' and centre of Resistance to the Windmill Master Robber Barons and their 'Turbine Terrorism'. In passing why no memorial as at Llangwm, to the Meifod Tithe Riot?
